BibleGod VS Hitler

Since there is some discussion emerged about Christianity vs Hitler and whether Hitler could be classified as a Christian, I decided to compare some of the God’s actions with the actions of Hitler.

There’s a nice website I found, with not so nice comments about the actions of the BibleGoD. He/She was writing “Comment: What the FUCK is going on here and how can ANY one with half a brain kiss the ass of the “god” who gave such barbaric orders!!!”

The Author was clearly outraged by the writings of: Numbers 31: 1-18 , and definitely for a good reason: check out the passage for yourself:

1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 “Avenge the people of Israel on the Midianites; afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
3 And Moses said to the people, “Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute the LORD’s vengeance on Midian.
4 You shall send a thousand from each of the tribes of Israel to the war.”
5 So there were provided, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
6 And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand from each tribe, together with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
7  They warred against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses, and slew every male.
8 They slew the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian; and they also slew Balaam the son of Beor with the sword.
9 And the people of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and they took as booty all their cattle, their flocks, and all their goods.
10 All their cities in the places where they dwelt, and all their encampments, they burned with fire,
11 and took all the spoil and all the booty, both of man and of beast.
12 Then they brought the captives and the booty and the spoil to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the people of Israel, at the camp on the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
13 Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside the camp.
14 And Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds, who had come from service in the war.
15 Moses said to them, “Have you let all the women live?
16 Behold, these caused the people of Israel, by the counsel of Balaam, to act treacherously against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and so the plague came among the congregation of the LORD.
17 Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
18 But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

There is a funny comment on 18 🙂 : ” And imagine these brave soldiers of God, pulling the clothes off of ALL the girls and opening their legs and sticking their fingers into their cunts to see if they were still virgins! BUT THIS IS WHAT THAT GOD-DAMNED “GOD” OF THE OLD TESTAMENT ORDERED!!! How else do you THINK they could tell which were and were not virgins- by asking??? “Excuse me, miss, but are you a virgin? If you’re not, I have to kill you- orders, you know. Nothing personal.””

  1. Dude you really have issues!!! Vulgarity is a sign of lack of education. Any person on the streets can be vulgar but people with common sense (cei 7 ani de acasa) know how to speak with respect.

I would advise you to read why Israel was told to attack in Numbers 31. What kind of barbarians were living there? How were they treating their own people, both the innocent and the wicked. As far as verse 18 goes there is no indication of sex or rape. You imposed that on the text. On the other hand there is strong indication that the virgins were to become wives to the soldiers. Many of the young men in the army were not yet married. They were to marry virgins (and be virgins until marriage) as the men of Israel. Sexual morality was in high regard among the Israelites because God demanded it. Again, get your facts straight before making incorrect accusations about God or the Bible. You just prove what you do not know when you write like that.

As I have said before, there are rules to interpreting any form of literature and you obviously do not know them or you do not care about them but they are there and must be used if you want to show intelligence.

    • Erik… did you see the quotes over there? I gave you the link.. so I guess your comment is for John who wrote the comments…
But you should also note that the guy was outraged rather than being vulgar… just to let you know.
The author of the comment clearly has other moral values than you do Erik… he was writing about the process of finding out whether the girl was a virgin or not… If you were a soldier Erik, how would u find that out?

      • You still did not answer any of the questions that I asked. Instead you tried to spin the argument around and ask me a question. Answer the questions that I asked and then we can talk more. Liberals are so typical. They use the same tactics over and over again. I do not know if you realize how you have been brainwashed or not but it is very obvious to me.

  2. There are also rules to interpret scientific work. But you interpret darwinism in an abberant manner, don’t you? why shall we not do the same with the bible?

PS was it the word FUCK that disturbed you? 😀

  3. I interpret Darwinism as it should be. I look at the evidence to get to the conclusions. Evolutionists try to interpret the evidence in light of the conclusion that they want. There is a big difference.

    • Erik… in one sense you are right… it was a hypothesis from the very beginning , seeing very slight difference between some birds… but you can’t neglect now all the abundant evidence in support of it.

      • there is not abundant evidence to support Darwinism. In fact the evidence points to a Creator who created the species as they are and macro evolution took place to cause variation in species. Thanks for agreeing with me.

  4. And we interpret the bible as it should be. 🙂 what’s your problem? 🙂

    • you never seem to look at the immediate context along with the Biblical context and the cultural one. So your interpretation is flawed. You have your mind made up of the outcome and then you seek for evidence (that is the same way that Darwinism works).

      • I have the same impression about you. 🙂

      • Ateu
You have an impression without evidence. I based my opinion on facts and evidence which I demonstrated. You have emptry words and I am dealing in facts.

BTW, I have a nice verse for you to ponder:

“Nebunul zice în inima lui: ,,Nu este Dumnezeu!“ S’au stricat oamenii, fac fapte urîte; nu este niciunul care să facă binele.”

      • No you have not. 🙂
And you had no evidence. Not a single one.

    • Adica cum Alexandr.. tebuie eu sa-mi cer scuze p/u ce scrie in biblie? 🙂

      • Nope that is not what Alex said but you seem to be the king of spin so that is what you are trying to deceive others into thinking. You have been well trained in the art of deception (so is Satan si nu de geaba ca te poti numele lui).

  6. Ateu
No you really sound childish, (no you did not, you did not, you did not). I gave clear evidence of how the text was taken out of context and not interpreted according to the rules of interpreting literature. What more proof do you want. I asked some simple questions that would help you understand the context and got no response other than some other name calling attack.

  7. I simply said that you have not. 🙂 Only once. Because you did not convinced me, as simple as that. And I switched to other priorities, instead of repeating all my arguments again.

In return, you called me childish and then complained about another name calling atack. 🙂

  8. Acting childish and calling you childish are 2 different things. My job is not to convince you of anything. I am simply presenting the facts for you to observe. If you want to believe them or not, that is up to you.
